The Greenopoly board game, inspired by the Monopoly is an immersion into the green spaces of Berlin. Each players will represent a city user like a working woman, a single
mother with kids, a white man, etc which have some privilege or not… By this characteristic,
the game aims to show the inequalities in access to the city’s parks.
We have chosen to use a boarding game in order to make the public realise, as the game
progresses, the complexities of green justice in a city like Berlin. This media is also
interactive and through the characters cards it allows the players to change their point of
view. You will also discover a lot of parks of Berlin and maybe some in your neighborhood,
so don’t hesitate to experience afterwards the accessibility of your nearest green space.

To play Greenopoly, print the board game and all the cards (pdfs below) knowing that for each page of cards, the front is followed by the back of the cards. If you have a Monopoly, you can use the usual tokens to play or create your own tokens. Regarding the park’s infrastructures, you can either create the infrastructures yourself with some cardboard paper. Or you can take the houses from the Monopoly knowing that the number of houses corresponds to a certain type of infrastructure:
1 house (level 1 of improvement) = water fountain
2 houses (level 2) = playground
3 houses (level 3) = sportsground
4 houses (level 4) = collective space

My City Changes


This is a small game, where you can create random cities using various parameters, like green spaces amount, safety, and cost of living. Afterwards, you can look around them by clicking on neighbourhoods, rotating the camera with the right mouse button, and zooming in/out with the mouse wheel.

The media project, “My City Changes” deals with issues of urban justice from the green & ecological perspectives. I chose to visualise the city as a grid of random neighbourhoods, each with different qualities. Afterwards, I created 3D models for everything in the city – roads, vehicles travelling on the roads, parks and living areas- with some variations depending on the neighbourhood quality. The “objects” appear randomly at the beginning, but the goal of the players is to build varied cities from different perspectives: a profitable one, a green one, a safe one and so on. The player can modify the following parameters, which affect how the city looks and the types of neighbourhoods it has:

  • Green spaces – the percent of green spaces in the city and neighbourhoods.
  • Safety – the level of maintenance and the investment in the green spaces, meaning street lights, maintained trees and bushes, clean paths and so on.
  • Cost of living – building quality and investment in renewing old streets.
  • Transport – number of public transportation (buses) compared to cars in the city.
  • Variance – high variance leads to very different neighbourhoods in the same city, while low variance leads to most neighbourhoods looking the same.

Playing with those parameters visualises the ways a city can be modified and changed due to different policies, and helps us understand how green justice considerations can completely change the quality of life of residents, noticing different needs of the populations and opening a discussion as to who can benefit from each and every change the city embraces.

Mini Game


My media project is a humble homemade mini-game. This game can be run on mobile devices and PC. The link to the game is the button above and you can start playing by going to the URL through your computer or cell phone’s browser.

The game as a whole was developed through GDevelop. In-game sticker and audio are sourced from free resources on the web and from GDevelop.

The process of the game is a human society exploring the road to green justice. The game process arranges some wrong paths and makes some guesses about the possible consequences, and finally the main character succeeds in reaching the utopia in his mind.
